Sea of Thieves goes deep beneath the waves in its incoming flavor
The close season of Sea of Thieves testament add a new grade of underwater shenanigans in the form of inexperienced Siren Shrines, six unique and dangerous locations deep beneath the waves, filled with treasures to be claimed past players who bottom solve their mysteries and complete their challenges. Swashbucklers who opt a more straight-up fight against the denizens of the deep blue sea can instead opt for Delilah Treasuries, which are filled with "coral treasures" that will take in a jolly penny from the Trading Companies.
To help assure a within reason clean getaway, your loot sack be stored in sunken statues in both locales so brought to the surface whenever you're ready to load it up by the friendly merfolk—the same bunch who teleports you back to your send on when you hang overboard because you were goofing around. You'll still have to convey IT onto the ship yourself, though, so it's not a completely unhazardous option (which is a in effect thing, real—IT's no fun with nary danger, after all). All the shrines and Treasures are marked on the represent, and a telltale play on the surface of the water will form them easier to track down.
Wealth can also be attained from a rare and very valuable prize named Breath of the Sea, which can comprise found connected voyages granted by coral-covered bottles, and of course there are unweathered ship and hijack cosmetics to earn, and a new, optional Plunder Take place for truly consecrate players.
IT's been awhile since I've played Sea of Thieves, and this has ME wondering if maybe it's time to go back. The soaring adventures are a blast only I've always felt like there hasn't been enough going happening under the surface. Leaning into that weird, unemotional, mysterious look of the game feels to Maine like a largish deputise the right direction. Sea of Thieves season 4 kicks off happening September 23.
